Do you need a will?

Yes, but it is even more important if you answer yes to any of the following:
Do you live with someone but are not married or in a civil partnership?
You will not automatically inherit money or property from each other, so it can cause serious financial hardship.
Do you have children under 18?
No one will know your wishes unless they are recorded in a will; even if your wish is simply to name a person to make the decision.
Do you have a mortgage?
Have you separated or divorced?
Do you have dependants other than young children?
Do you have serious divisions in the family which could result in argument in the event of death?
Do you have children by different marriages?
Do you own part of a family business or farm?
Do you have property overseas?
Are you resident in the UK without being a British Citizen?
